Privacy Policy – CityLaw.mx

CityLaw.mx, law offices located in Mexico City and Cozumel, Quintana Roo, México, with website www.citylaw.mx, is responsible for the use, disclosure, storage, access, handling, transfer, and disposal (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Processing”) of any information that is provided concerning an identified or identifiable individual (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Data”).

In compliance with the provisions of the Mexican Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, its Regulations, and other applicable legal provisions, CityLaw.mx is committed to observing the principles of legality, purpose, loyalty, consent, quality, proportionality, information, and responsibility.


a. Consent

By providing Personal Data to CityLaw.mx, the Data Owner grants consent for its use under the terms of this Privacy Policy, acknowledges the purposes of Processing, and understands the procedure to exercise their ARCO Rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition), as well as to limit the use and disclosure of their Personal Data.

To revoke consent, the Data Owner may send a request to assistant@citylaw.mx. The same procedure applies if the Owner wishes to refuse Processing for purposes not necessary for the legal relationship with CityLaw.mx.


b. Use of Personal Data

Personal Data will be used for the following primary purposes:

  • Identification and contact.
     
  • Preparation of service proposals.
     
  • Provision of professional legal services.
     
  • Billing of professional services.
     
  • Compliance with legal obligations before Mexican authorities.
     

As secondary purposes, CityLaw.mx may use Personal Data to:

  • Organize files with the information and documents provided, in compliance with the Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Operations with Resources of Illicit Origin and the Mexican Tax Code.
     
  • Preserve and safeguard information for the purposes for which it was provided.
     

The Data Owner may object to secondary purposes by emailing assistant@citylaw.mx within 5 business days. Such refusal will not affect the primary legal relationship.


c. Personal Data Processed

Depending on the services requested, CityLaw.mx may collect:

  • Identification data: name, address, nationality, date/place of birth, marital status, CURP, RFC, signature, age, gender, image.
     
  • Contact data: phone numbers, email, address.
     
  • Employment data: employer, position, work contact details, income.
     
  • Migration data: immigration status.
     
  • Financial data: tax, banking information.
     
  • Legal data related to the services requested.
     

d. Transfer of Personal Data

CityLaw.mx may transfer Personal Data to third-party service providers or legal partners when necessary to fulfill the contracted services. No Personal Data will be shared for purposes other than those established in this Privacy Notice, except where required by law or authority.

The Data Owner may express refusal to such transfers by emailing assistant@citylaw.mx.


e. ARCO Rights

The Data Owner has the right to:

  • Access the Personal Data held.
     
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
     
  • Cancel their Personal Data records.
     
  • Oppose Processing for legitimate reasons.
     

Requests must be sent to assistant@citylaw.mx.

If the Data Owner believes their rights have been violated, they may file a complaint with the INAI at www.inai.org.mx.


f. Modifications

This Privacy Notice may be updated to reflect new legal requirements, privacy practices, or business needs. Any changes will be published at www.citylaw.mx.
